If the boot drive fails on a critical workstation or server, how long will it take you to recover and what will be the cost of the down time? If the answers are "too long" and "too much", perhaps you should look into having periodic image backups or perhaps disk cloning.

Applied Digital will provide you with an image backup program and, if you wish, come on site on a periodic basis to either clone your boot drive or do an image backup to another hard drive, such as an external USB drive.

It does not matter what operating system you are running nor how many partitions you may have set up on the boot drive. The backup process will create a copy of everything that can be restored to exactly the same state as the last backup. Coupled with a comprehensive data backup plan, this type of backup makes it possible to recover most boot drives in under 2 hours, with all of your applications ready to run.

Most individuals and businesses do not understand how much time and effort they have invested in installing applications and customizing their settings because they have accumulated them gradually over time. It can easily be the case that you install a new hard drive (assuming there was no backup) and have to first install the operating system and drivers for all of your devices, rebuild your user accounts, and then begin the laborious process of finding and installing your applications from the original media. Do you have all of the necessary disks in one place?

The more software you have, the more you depend on that software, the more you need to consider doing image backups with some regularity. Let Applied Digital help you with it.
